The FILA10G interface allows to translate up to 4 parallel 32-bit interfaces in 2 bidirectional 10G Ethernet standard optical media.
The instrument is available as internal part of the DBBC2 or otherwise as fully independent unit with its box, power supply, FPGA programmer, GPS receiver.
The maximum general output data rate is 20 Gbps, but limited to 16 Gbps in VLBI applications. An additional version is the FILA10G-S4 which provides 8 parallel 32-bit interfaces in 4 bidirectional 10G Ethernet standard optical media, when the total amount of data rate required doubles to 40 Gbps, and 32 Gbps in VLBI applications.
